Rolling Over ... Almost

Clara is growing so quickly and time is flying by. I can't believe she will be 4 months in a couple of days. In the last week she has started working on rolling over. She can get about half way there. She works so hard to make it happen. I love her little grunts and squeals as she exerts herself. It's only a matter of time and she will be pro.

If you look closely in this picture you can catch a glimps of her amazing eyelashes. They are not dark yet but very long. Lucky Girl!

Preschool Celebration

All the parents were invited to McKay's class for a celebration. They first put on a little performance then we got to enjoy free time and play games and it ended with treats. This school has been such a wonderful blessing in McKay's life, not to mention mine. These teachers care so much about the students. He has come so far with his speech and has really learned a lot. I'm excited that his best friend from class is going to be in his kindergarten class next year.

Doing the story of "The Very Hungry Caterpillar"

He was talking about this book "5 Little Sea Creatures" for a week. He was so excited when he got to read it to me and bring it home. That night we even had to take it to Bajio to show dad.

McKay, Ms Annie, Dr. Boyce
Ms Annie is McKay's teacher and Dr. Boyce is his speech teacher.

McKay and Ms Liz

Ms Liz is the teachers assistant and she has been in his classroom for two years.

3 1/2 months

I can't believe that Clara is already 3 1/2 months old. Only a few more months and she'll be sitting, eating, and crawling. It's already been a month and a half since our visit back to Utah so I just thought I would post some of Clara's latest pictures. She has grown and changed so much. Everyday I count my blessings for having such an angel baby.

Bobalina the Builder

Ellie is such a personality. All the time she talks about how certain things are just for girls. Pink is for girls. No boys in girls rooms. (I hope this one sticks) Animals are for girls. On and on, but there is nothing that is just for boys. Don't you try and tell her any different. I will be curious to see what she chooses as a profession.

Grandpa Jeff I'm ready to come to work!

Best buds

McKay loves his little sister Clara. He just loves being near her. When she is down on the floor he'll get down to talk to her. Sometimes he gets a little too in her face, but he always laughs when a hand or foot hits him. He always wants to "carry" her. When she starts to fuss he tells her "Oh, baby Clara. Don't worry." in a very sweet and sensitive tone. As a mother there aren't many things better than watching your kids interact and play.

Already enjoying a movie together.

He's so proud!

Naptime

If you know my kids then you know that they pretty much only sleep in their beds, sometimes in the car if they are REALLY tired. If they fall asleep anywhere else then they are most likely sick. This was the scene I came down to the other day. I had woken Ellie up from her nap so there would be some hope that she would go to bed that night. I had to go upstairs to work with Clara and when I came back this is what I found.

I guess she was EXHAUSTED!!

I decided that if she was that tired then she probably needed the sleep, so I made her a little more comfortable. She still didn't wake up.

McKay is 5

Last week I took McKay to the mall to get his 5 year old picture taken.(I'm no Holly so I can't do it at my house) I think they turned out well and I am taken back by how good looking my son is. I can't believe I am the mother to a 5 year old. He is such a wonderful kid. He plays well with Ellie...most of the time. They come up with the best imaginary play and keep themselves entertained for hours. He has really taken an interest in his baby sister Clara. He always want to hold her , he informs me when she has spit up when we are driving in the car, and if she's crying and I'm not around he'll try and give her her pacifier. All in all a great big brother.

He is really excelling in school and looking forward to starting Kindergarten the first of August. It's a mothers dream to hear that they use your kid as the model in class for pre reading and math skills.

He is such a sweet sensitive kid and I only hope it continues.

Playtime!!

The other day I came up the stairs to find that McKay and Ellie had set up a picnic on the landings. They had all their play food spread out on their blankets and were having a wonderful time.

All that eating really made them tired!

This is from a different day. They were throwing their imaginary play friends into the air on their blanket. Notice how they stop two different times to add more friends.

Clara's Blessing

Ryan had the honor of giving Clara her blessing. We had the blessing in Utah since both sides of the family are there. It was a beautiful heartfelt blessing, and it was great to have everyone involved. Clara was able to have both Grandpas and two Great Grandpas in the circle. Not to forget about her uncles and Bracken.

All the men that were involved.

The proud parents.

McKay's 5th Birthday!!

McKay enjoyed a wonderful Thomas the Train birthday party. It was changed last minute from Lightning McQueen, but he knows what he wants. During the singing of 'Happy Birthday' he got so excited he fell off his chair. He was very patient and waited until everyone was done eating to open his presents, although he asked at least 15 times if it was time for presents yet. He got way more gifts than he needed and his only disappointment was that He wasn't allowed to play with all the toys until we got back to Reno. He did get to play with a few. I can't believe that he is 5. It makes me feel like an official mom since I am now the mother to a kid and no longer only toddlers. As if being the mother of 3 wasn't enough.

Party Time!!

He really loved his present from Great Grandpa Hill.

Dad working on putting together McKay's Hot Wheels Shark Park.

"Is it time yet?"

Tootsie Roll teeth in honor of Aunt Lindsay.

I put this picture just because McKay looks so old, at least to his mom.

PINATA!
