McKay's First Day of School

McKay all ready for his first day back at school. He has been going now for almost two weeks and is really doing well. He enjoys riding the bus and loves to tell me about his day. He has even made a friend, a girl named Callee.

In his mom's opinion, he is for sure the most handsome boy in the class.

Ellie was going to school also, so we had to get a picture with both of them ready to go.
Lined up and ready to go into Mrs. Graham's class. I hope he has a great year.

Adam "Ace" Bullock Bachelor Party

Our good friend from High School Adam Bullock is getting married this month and none of our friends can get married without a good Mormon bachelor party. The closest thing we could think of was taking him to Hooters. Of course the other guys and I enjoyed it too. It's really the only time we could go and do something like this with our wives approval. We stopped and picked up some fun trinkets for him and Sara to enjoy after they get married, of course. One of their items was this Love Voucher coupon book. The girls at Hooters had a great time with us, and we really made if fun for Adam. Congratulations Adam!

Like I said the girls at Hooters really enjoyed helping us celebrate Adams bachelor party. Adam was a great sport! If you look really closely, you will notice he is wearing one of the surprises that we picked up for him. I think the girl in back really liked Adam.

What is a Bachelor party without the strip club. It was just down the street from Hooters, so we figured that it was Adams last night out on the town, why not? Only the four of us will know what really happened that night, right boys?

Just helping Adam prepare for what to expect in the strip club.

Wow! What a night! Just coming out of the strip club, you could see that we all had big smiles on our faces and the ultimate thumbs up. We will have to make this a annual event. I think Bracken spent the most money inside though. Again congratulations Adam. We are all so grateful to have a great friend like you. Sara is a very lucky lady and I know that you will extremely happy together. I hope that you had a great time that night we sure did. We will have to plan on having many more.

For all of you who know us, we would have really liked to have gone into Southern Xposure, but we know better. I was just kidding about just coming out. We actually went and watched a movie that night right boys?

Ellie's First Day of School

Today was Ellie's first day of school. She was very excited to go and was dressed and ready to go, with shoes and all, 3 hours ahead of time. I told her that it wasn't time for school yet, but that it would be time for school after lunch. She started asking for lunch about 10:00. Once it was actually time for lunch and it over we had to take the traditional first day of school pictures before we headed off.
How cute is she?
She is growing up so much! It is so fun to watch.
We made it to school.
Heading inside.
Waiting outside Mrs. Hellewell's classroom. We were a few minutes early.
Finding her name tag on the door.
At her assigned seat and ready to work.

I know she is going to have such a great year and can't wait to hear all the new things she is going to come home with.

4th of July

It was nice to back in our hometown for the 4th of July this year. They really celebrate it in style. We went to the big parade first thing in the morning.
It was hot but my parents brought the big umbrella from their patio set so we had some shade.
Ryan took the two girls and walked down to parade route to visit his family.

Annie, my future sister-in-law, and Ellie.
Clara digging into the stash of parade treats.
After the parade we headed up to the Hill's for a pool party and BBQ. The 4th also happens to be Ryan's sister McKensie's birthday so it was also a joint celebration for her.

Ellie wanted me to take pictures of her poising on the rocks. She is such a girl.

Mandy, Clara, and McKensie, the birthday girl, enjoying the shade.

"YEE-HAW!"

Down in my families traditional spot to watch the fireworks. It is just across the street from where the fireworks are let off. It's the best place I've ever found, and I've been going there as long as I can remember.

And they begin. The fireworks were just a little loud but everyone loved them. Clara kept pointing to the sky and clapping. For being so exhausted, she sure had a good time.

We had a great, exhausting holiday!

St. George

One of the perks of moving back is that we get to getaway to St. George. It's the perfect place for a long weekend and thanks to the Hudsons we had great company and a great place to stay.

On the drive down we finally got all of them asleep. Of course it was when we only had about 25 minutes of the drive left.

Bracken and Talia have a great place that has a clubhouse with private pool. It was wonderful to go swimming there because it was never crowded.

This was Clara's first time in a pool and she loved it.

Ellie, our little mermaid.

All she wanted to do was go swimming. I think once we went 3 times in one day.

McKay enjoying the water with his goggles.

The Hill girls.

Out to dinner.
Mom's crazy face.
Ellie's crazy face.
Dad's crazy face.
McKay just thought we were all crazy.

On our second day there we went to Jumping Jack's. An indoor bounce place that a friend of Ryan's from high school had opened. The little and big kids had a great time.

Ready to go down the big slide.

She liked it.
We had a great weekend. It's always nice to get away. Thanks again to the Hudsons for having us down. Man, you guys are great friends to have around!

Progress

Clara is finally making progress when it comes to walking. She has still got a long way to go but she is working on it, when she WANTS to. The little stinker will be 17 months in two weeks. It's about time!
